Seán Francis George has two chosen charities that he supports: Alexandra Bastedo Champions Animal Sanctuary or ABC for short. The Sanctuary was started by Alexandra Bastedo over thirty years ago and she led the Trustees until her recent death in January 2014. She was a dear friend to Seán and will be sadly missed, he continues to support the hard working Volunteers at the Open Day Events. Alexandra Bastedo was an actress known for her character Sharron Macready in the Cult TV show The Champions and more recently in Batman Begins. The aims of the Animal Sanctuary are to rescue abandoned animals and animals in distress, to provide them with care and protection and - where  possible - to find them a new home where they can be happy, safe and properly cared for. Another Charity close to Seán's heart is Little People UK (LPUK) much like a family atmosphere the Little People UK was co-founded by great friends of Seán's - actor Warwick Davis and wife Samantha along with a group of like minded individuals, to offer friendship and support to people with dwarfism, their families and friends, building a positive future for those individuals. Since it’s inception, Little People UK has become a registered charity and an essential resource for the social, medical and financial needs of the little people community in the UK. With support from highly respected doctors, physiotherapists and Special Educational Needs Co- ordinators with a particular interest in helping individuals with dwarfism. Being a keen motorcycle enthusiast Seán also helps his friends at Brightona to raise funds for the Sussex Heart Charity, Brightona is an annual motorcycle event held every year on Brighton’s famous Madeira Drive. Conceived by Abby Goldin who had in the past suffered a heart attack, and because of the life saving treatment Abby received in Brighton he decided he wanted to raise money for the Sussex Heart Charity. Now the biggest charity bike event in the south of England with 100% of all monies raised going directly to the Sussex Heart Charity.
